A former Garden Grove, California schoolteacher, Mary Payne Nguyen has been called "a one-woman international relief agency." Mary Nguyen set up the Amerasian Network nine years ago, and is presently the resident director based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Mary's work with the Vietnamese dates back to 1975 when she began working with Amerasian and Vietnamese orphans. Mary first went to Vietnam in 1991 and has remained there since then. As Director for the Amerasian Network, Mary Payne Nguyen is dedicated to providing proper health care and education for disadvantaged children in Vietnam
