April 19, 2000Election.com Embraces Accessibility
Tempe, AZ – for immediate release!Top level Election.com officials and staff take definite steps toward greater accessibility for blind voters. Company representatives from the highest levels visited the National Federation of the Blind's International Braille and Technology Center in Baltimore, Maryland and met with its director, Curtis Chong. As a result, Election.com representatives are consulting with the National Federation of the Blind, Henter-Joyce, Apple Computer and others on how to best implement accessibility. Furthermore, the company will implement a live test site in the very near future for the purpose of the evaluation and the resolution of any potential obstacles. Proactive Accessibility thanks and highly commends Election.com for its willingness to constructively address accessibility issues in a sincerely and timely manner. More information on the progress of this project will be forthcoming.
