“Accessible ICTS for Persons with Disabilities”
The
objectives of this panel are to discuss the current trends, the
status and the future evolution of accessibility and ICTs. Key
issues to be discussed include: 1) Identifying key ICT
accessibility issues for persons with disabilities; setting the
context for the debate 2) Showcasing ITU activities and 3)
Developing national policy frameworks.
The main aim
of this side event session is to share experiences and inform
participants with regard to policies and strategies to address
ICT accessibility and service needs for persons with
disabilities, in line with the UN Convention.
