The disability rate for Asians and Pacific Islanders is 12.1 percent, 11.4 percent for adolescent and working-age adults. The overall disability rate for male and female Asian-Americans is about the same, with women having a slightly higher rate of severe disability (8.1 percent) than men (6.1 percent). These figures, do not show substantial
differences between Asian ethnic groups, however, though significantly higher
