Michael Van Randen

Member of the Florida Americans with Disabilities Act Working Group, where I Chair the Web Accessibility Task Force and sit on the Executive Board.1999 to present.

• Served in the United States Navy and the United States Army from 1968 to 1977.
• Medically retired in September of 1977 due to a gunshot wound to the left foot.
• Completed the A+ Certification.
• From 1991 to present have been involved in the World Wide Web as a Webmaster.
• Certified: Web Accessibility Design, 2001.
• Started Amputee on Call in 1992, an Internet based help and referral service for the disable. Most involvement with amputees, however I have never turned anyone down. I have obtained artificial limbs for persons in third world nations as well as the United States.
• Amputee on Call doses free counseling to those who have suffered amputations. For several years worked with doctors and the Veterans Administration in Houston, Texas and the Dallas Area.
• On the Board of Directors of Freeport Center for Independence.
