On July 22, 2003, representatives of the
International Center for Disability Resources on the Internet were honored to
attend the New Freedom Awards at the Grand Ballroom of the Navy Pier in Chicago.
The Center had been nominated in two Categories, Accessibility, and
Website/Publication.
For our representatives who were there it was an
unforgettable night. First of all the Center was greatly honored to be invited
and nominated. It was a chance to meet many of the leaders who are helping to
bring people with dishabilles into the mainstream of society where they belong.
Secondly it was a fabulous evening. The surroundings were stunning, the food was
terrific, the people were wonderful, but most of all the reason for being there
was without peer.
The Jim Mullen Foundation did a fabulous job putting
these awards together. There cannot be enough good things said about the people
who made this possible. Thanks to all of them and to everyone who was nominated
and who was there!!!!
