Accessibility Features of CallXpress from AVSTIntroductionCallXpress is a product that contains several features that help users with disabilities to interface with the product and to allow all users disabled or not to use CallXpress with a number of different interfaces and to adhere to Section 508 of the U. S. Rehabilitation Act. Below are some details as to how CallXpress achieves this goal. SMS CapabilityAllows SMS messages to be sent to the user’s cell phone to notify the user of new voice or fax messages TTYThe TTY interface allows users with the following disabilities to interface with CallXpress.
This is a robust interface that allows the user to access the features of CallXpress to handle email, voicemail and Fax. When available, caller identification is presented via TTY CallXpress Voice Input/Voice OutputThe Voice Input and Output interface for CallXpress supports remote users, users with telephone access only, and cell phone users. Works with standard Customer Premises Equipment and Cell Phones and has been tested with a Bluetooth device. This is a robust interface that allows the user to access the features of CallXpress to handle email, voicemail and Fax. The CallXpress Voice Input / Output interface has features capable of assisting users with the following disabilities: CognitiveWhen available, caller identification is presented via audio. Voice Input allows the user to control the product. Voice output allows the user to hear prompts and message details. CallXpress will re-prompt the user multiple times. This setting is configurable. MobilityWhen available, caller identification is presented via audio CallXpress supports a telephone user interface supported by audio prompts and can be controlled by voice commands CallXpress will re-prompt the user multiple times. This setting is configurable. VisionWhen available, caller identification is presented via audio. CallXpress supports a telephone user interface supported by audio prompts and can be controlled by voice commands or keypad entry. CallXpress will re-prompt the user multiple times. This setting is configurable. Web AccessAccessible web access will assist those with disabilities who may not have access to a phone. Accessible Documentation and SupportDocumentationDocumentation in accessible electronic format will be supplied regarding the features of CallXpress upon request. Product SupportSupport services including voice mail and email support the communications needs of persons with disabilities.
