First let me say this is a wonderful story. It is the story of two young men,
Barney and Nick. Nick is dying of muscular dystrophy. It is the story of how
Barney deals with Nick’s growing weaker and weaker and finally dying. Gill James has written a wonderful book about how Barney deals with the death
of his friend and its effects on his life. I found this book to be well written
and uplifting. Ostensibly it is for young adults, I would call it a “must read” for
everyone. They ending is a positive and a wonderful model of how we can all deal
with tragic and unpleasant things in our lives. Thank you Gill James for a wonderful book!!
