Review of Ableplay.orgby Michael Burks
Page Sponsored By: AblePlay.org ( http://www.ableplay.org ) is a toy rating system and website that provides comprehensive information on toys for children with special needs so parents, special educators, therapists and others can make the best play choices for the children in their lives with disabilities. Developed by the National Lekotek Center, the leading nonprofit authority on play for children with disabilities, AblePlay provides parents, and the professionals who work with them, access to the most useful, product-specific information about the top play and learning products and toys for children with disabilities. This is quite an interesting and useful site for those who work with or have children with special needs. It is well done and well presented. There is a wonderful video called Special Needs Kids and the Power of Play ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwWeW7PTB_w ) bringing awareness to those who need help, as well as those that can help. It is currently on YourTube and will soon be uploaded to other video sharing sites. Take a look!!!! It is a terrific video! written by Mike Burks ICDRI Staff
