A Pattern of Silent Tearsby Mariana RuybalidPrice: $13.95
Book ReviewThis is a wonderful book. Set in Costa Rica in the mid 1980's it is a story that you will not soon forget. It is the story of the friendship between a Costa Rican mother, Magdalena and Marta, an American Missionary with Cerebral Palsy who works with people with disabilities in Costa Rica. As the story unfolds you will get a clear and realistic picture of the situation faced by people with disabilities in this part of the world and of the daily liife of the ordinary person in Costa Rica. Magdalena is a divorced mother of three facing a second divorce and many challenges in her life. It is a story that everyone should read, and read again. It is realistic and clearly depicts Magdalena's world as it is. Well told and well written this is a book not to be missed, by anyone, disabled or not. If you would like to buy a copy of the book, the Center will receive a small commission if you buy the book from Amazon.
