Tom Worthington

 

Tom Worthington is an e-business consultant to the Australian Government, author and industry analyst. 

  • Tom is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at the Australian National University, where he lectures in website design and electronic commerce
  • He was an expert witness for the Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission case which found the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games web site inaccessible to the blind. 
  • He was he first Web Master for the Australian Department of Defence. Tom is one of the architects of the Australian Government's Internet strategy and in 1999 was elected a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society for his contribution to the development of public Internet policy.
  •  He is a director and past President of the Australian Computer Society and a voting member of the Association for Computing Machinery.
