Pt Population:
Patients consist of 96% Asian/Pacific Islander immigrants, 2%
Caucasian and 2% other. 50% of patients speak
Chinese dialect, 20% Filipino, 6% Korean and 8% other. Lack of
transportation, resources and language are big
barriers to health care.
What We Do
Range Of Services:
Family planning, treatment of acute & chronic illness and minor
injuries, nutritional & health education, mental health
counseling, some laboratory & pharmacy services. Dental
services, acupuncture, and herbal medicine. High
prevalence of Thalassemia, Hepatitis B, and diabetes. Lab and
dental services provided at the Holly Park site. Smoke
cessation, weight reduction, diabetic education, nutrition and
behavioral counseling offered on-site.
Emphasis placed on translation services and cultural sensitivity to
Filipino, Chinese, Cambodian, Laotian, Vietnamese,
