The GABKUL FOUNDATION , is a non-profit foundation created in 1998 by a group of Doctors, which provides to assist handicapped, abandoned, homeless, orphaned children and young people in need in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other poor countries. Also assist abandoned veterans , Schools , Hospitals and churches in need.

Background.

In April 2003 The International Rescue Committee (IRC) completed a mortality study that estimated the number of dead caused by the war in the D.R.C at more than 3.3,million the largest toll of any conflict recorded African history.But it is the children who have suffered the most. GABKUL FOUNDATION was established to address the needs of these children.

Our Goal:

To improve the lives of children and young people by providing for social, sanitary andeconomic needs , and to offer them the promise of the future and provide the andalternative to life on the streets.

ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS # HANDICAPPED :

We provide orthopedic equipment for the handicapped or physically challenged. That includes shoe making , sewing and other # MENTAL : We accompany mental handicapped children to various activities , providing comfort and support. # VISUAL AID : This kind of assistance is given by providing glasses , sunglasses , frames and other ophthalmologic equipment # HEARING IMPAIRMENT : We promote and protect the interests of deafness and hearing impairments , providing medical supplies, pharmaceuticals , clothing and food to children in need. # EDUCATION : We pay school fees and teach basic notions of hygiene along with computer training and technology raising awareness of future and environment . # ENVIRONMENT : we try to make the regular environment of our communities feel more special to everyone . We give supplies and equipment to centers in need such as Hospitals , Schools, Churches , construction and repair of Schools, Churches or religious formation centers
