Formed in response to the events of September 11th, our mission is to educate and support individuals who are vulnerable to traumatic stress. Project Cope has an emphasis on special populations, including children with disabilities, adults with disabilities, and individuals with prior trauma (e.g., children in foster care). Project Cope is a program of the Westchester Institute for Human Development, A University Center for Excellence located at New York Medical College and Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.
