Oakland Mr. Sid Wolinsky, in order to advance the situation of people
with disabilities in Hungary."
"As a Fulbright scholar Mr. Wolinsky studied this situation in
1993-1994. and found a very depressing picture characterized by general
inaccessibility of all public buildings and transportation, low level of
education with a consequential high level of unemployment. Organization
building, cooperation, self-advocacy skills, Independent Living ideas,
use of media were also missing qualities of the scattered NGOs working
on the field."
