The long awaited "Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards," Final Rule (ref. 36 CFR Part 1194) for the Rehabilitation Act, Sec 508, (as ammended by P.L. 105-220 Sec 508) is now available at http://www.access-board.gov/news/508-final.htm 

These are the rules that will dictate the accessibility of electronic and information technology purchased by the U. S. Federal Government.  There is also a good chance that these rules will be used by the state governments is the U. S. as purchasing guidelines.
